Automobile Sales Unsustainably Low

Calculated Risk has some interesting charts about automobile sales, concluding that the current sales rate is unsustainably low.  I agree.

Last August in a blog post I voiced a similar sentiment with a slightly different approach.

Neither CR nor I see an immediate turnaround, but I think I'm more optimistic than he is.  I think sales could start upward this spring or summer.
